A major refurbishment / upgrade of the mechanisms was undertaken in 2017 following their failure. Since the refurbishment the downtime of the pool has reduced and therefore no maintenance of the mechanisms has been undertaken. The system is also in the position where the floor controls are now obsolete and if not replaced any failure will lead to the closure of the pool.
The proposed downtime allows gives the opportunity to review the operation of the mechanisms and perform essential maintenance by the Original Equipment manufacturer (OEM). This work will ensure that they are operating at their optimum now and in the future.
It is specialist work, a single action tender was completed for this request.
