Description

Local Authorities have a statutory duty to deliver high quality sexual health, reproductive health & HIV prevention services in accordance with the Health & Social Care Act 2013. Cornwall Council has an obligation to adhere to the Public Contract Regulations 2015 & has explored a range of options regarding the delivery of an Integrated Comprehensive Sexual Health Service through market engagement activities & public/stakeholder consultation.

The proposed service scope includes:-

â¢ STI testing, treatment & management across a range of platforms

â¢ Delivery of the National Chlamydia Screening Programme

â¢ Full range of contraception including emergency contraception

â¢ Pregnancy choices & testing services

â¢ HIV prevention services

â¢ General sexual health advice, information & promotion

â¢ Clinical leadership & oversight of pathways across primary, tertiary & acute care settings

â¢ Delivery education

â¢ Workforce training & education

â¢ Young people sexual health & contraception services
