The overall aim of the Mental Health and/or Autism Community Enablement Service is to provide early intervention for people who are living with mental ill health and/or autism. The service should be provided in a way that supports people to be as independent as possible. The overarching aims are to:
⢠Build on people's strengths and self-resilience
⢠Promote choice and control
⢠Improve people's quality of life
⢠Improve financial resilience through encouraging people to gain support to seek paid employment when this is appropriate.
⢠Support carers/family where appropriate
⢠Prevent the need for long term care
⢠Reduce hospital admission
