Westminster City Council (the Authority) is approaching the market to seek information regarding the supply, delivery and installation of water butts for a proposed pilot programme. Responses will inform the delivery model, procurement strategy and future specification.
The pilot is intended to reduce surface water flood risk by temporarily retaining roof runoff, support household water conservation and drought resilience and provide wider environmental and climate adaptation benefits. It will target neighbourhoods with historic surface water flooding or within identified Surface Water Management Zones.
