Currently there are approximately 180 connected glucose meters and 40 non-connectivity ketone meters in use within the hospitals. We are looking to streamline and update testing for glucose and ketone meters; with this in mind, a dual glucose and ketone connected meter for glucose and ketones is the aim.
Current volumes are approximately:
Glucose Tests = 609,000
Ketone Tests = 31,600
Volumes are estimated to increase by 10% a year.
We publish all our open sourcing requirements via the "Health Family Single eCommercial System" portal.
