Spitfire Way works contract

The Council will enter into a lease of land with an existing vehicle workshop building at Spitfire Way in Manston on the B2190 as the Council requires a new vehicle maintenance workshop to enable it to maintain its fleet of 113 vehicles (with 41 of these being classed as HGVs) in accordance with good practice and the law. Most of these vehicles are used to deliver the statutory waste and recycling and street cleansing functions of the Council and it is essential that the Council has a fit for purpose workshop to allow maintenance obligations to be met.
