Food Train exists to provide practical and social support services that help older people in Scotland to eat well, age well and live well. We support older people to remain safely and independently in their own homes and communities. Through grocery shopping and delivery, small household help, befriending and social activities, we reduce the risk of malnutrition and tackle loneliness and social isolation. Our national volunteer-led model provides dependable, person-centred support that improves wellbeing and prevents crisis. We also campaign to highlight the challenges older people face and advocate for better policy and practice so everyone can age with dignity.
