We support pupils, families, and the wider community connected to West Calder High School. We were created in response to rising levels of poverty, inequality, and wellbeing needs affecting young people and their engagement with education. Our purpose is to remove financial and practical barriers that limit opportunity. We do this by providing targeted poverty relief such as food support, clothing, and essential resources, alongside activities that promote wellbeing, inclusion, and confidence. A strong focus of our work is employability and skills development, supporting young people to access accredited training, vocational pathways, and practical equipment linked to further education, apprenticeships, and work. We work closely with , families, and community partners to identify need early and deliver practical, responsive support. Through this approach, we aim to reduce disadvantage, strengthen wellbeing, and ensure no young person’s education or future potential is compromised.
