Our aim is to use the canal and the surroundings to support local community development and to encourage the wider public to use them in ways that support physical, emotional and mental wellbeing. We provide work, both paid and unpaid, to local people through our lock keeping contract with Scottish Canals and we provide facilities to develop technical skills in bike maintenance and woodworking. We have a single small canal boat available for public hire and also used for community trips for local charities and groups.
