Our charity's purpose as set out in the objects contained in the company's Articles of Association is:- The advancement of education and heritage in the Outer Hebrides including, without limitation, the establishment and management of a visitor centre in Stornoway, Isle of Lewis, to promote, inform and educate the local community and visitors about the Iolaire disaster ('the Visitor Centre').
