The Charitable Purposes of the SCIO ('the Charitable Purposes') are: 3.1.1 to advance the arts by developing, supporting and nurturing the talent of new and emerging illustrators with particular focus on illustration in children's picture books. and 3.1.2 to advance education by championing the importance of picture books in the development of learning, well-being and creativity in children.
