We aim to create and improve facilities to assist young persons, the elderly and disabled to participate in community activities, currently through: an Extra-curricular annual grant for local school children. a Help Group to assist with prescription collections, shopping and transport. A Recreation Group run various activities also hold Social events with games, chat, hot drinks & soup. Talks include a NHS rep to discuss help available to the community and a SPEN rep to explain assistance available during power cuts and provided emergency packs for the more vulnerable members of the community. The group have compiling a soup recipe booklet, proceeds to be donated to local charities. Calendars are produced annually, with photos taken by community members, delivered free to all local residential homes. Surplus calendars are sold, funds donated to local charities. We hope to secure a minibus to help ease transport issues. We also maintain 2 affordable houses.
