The Balvonie Park Association was established in 2013 in order to investigate options for an area of land to the south of Inverness. Recent years have seen renewed community interest in the land and an evolution of the BPA. The current BPA committee is taking this interest forward, and new members have joined representing residents from across Milton of Leys. The BPA is investigating ways to make the best use of the land, improving its biodiversity and ecological value, while being financially sustainable and offering benefits for the whole Milton of Leys community. The project now proposed consists of a community woodland, allotments and open green space, with the potential for community facilities in future.
