The charity’s vision is to help build an empowered, creative and confident society. To do this, we work mainly with marginalised people under the banner of two projects:- Creative Citizens, for adults predominantly in recovery from substance misuse and Barrhead Drama, for children and young people of school age. Our approach is people-centred so that individuals achieve their potential with us facilitating their creative skills and imagination using drama and visual art, in the main, and the arts in general. We firmly believe that genuinely involving the participants in how their project is designed, delivered and evaluated is the key to success. Our participants, young and old, develop new skills, they express confidence and feel good about themselves and are at ease to say what works and what does not work for them. They have demonstrated that finding their creativity, collaborating and sharing is a successful way of being a valued and active member of society.
