To provide outdoor facilities for the community including a paths network that joins up with Aberdeenshire Council's Core Paths and gives safe connectivity between the old village and the new housing on Daviot Estate.. The 22 acres includes woodland and the Trust has planted over 2000 new trees to help replace older specimens which have become decated or blown down by storms such as Arwen. the paths are widely used by walkers, dog walkers, joggers and attracts visitors from nearby towns. The trustees aided by regular volunteers maintain the land/ woodland by regular work parties. Management is done by the Board of Directors that meets usually monthly.
