Scouting exists to actively engage and support young people in their personal development. The 19th Argyll Scout Group has 5 sections (Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers). Volunteer leaders organise age appropriate outdoor and indoor activities for the young people. Personal development is the focus of activities and many of our Group are working towards Platinum, Gold, Silver and Bronze Duke of Edinburgh awards. Nights away camps provide an experience of being away from home ,often for the first time for many. Scouts and Explorers also have opportunities to travel overseas to international events organised by the Scout Association.
