ARCH was established to provide a broad spectrum of activities encouraging people to learn about, participate in and preserve their local heritage. The Charitable Objects of the Company are: (a) Providing opportunities for all ages and abilities to learn about the rich archaeological heritage of their communities. Where possible, these opportunities will take place in their communities. (b) Recording the past, with photographs, drawings, plans or memories, to be made as widely available as possible on websites, Historic Environment Records, and local archives. (c) Offering a range of activities to suit all interests and to allow progression including courses, above ground surveys, excavation, post excavation activities and archival research, working in partnership with other group and societies.
