Western Isles Rape Crisis (WIRCC) is a local charity working with women and girls affected by sexual violence in the Western Isles. We offer a range of services including specialist support, advocacy, groupwork and sexual violence prevention work. We are part of the Rape Crisis Scotland Network and adhere to Rape Crisis Scotland National Service Standards. Our vision is for our community to be a place where all forms of sexual violence and abuse do not exist. We work to create opportunities to empower survivors to overcome sexual violence, abuse and oppression and work to challenge negative societal attitudes. We work in partnership with statutory and voluntary organisations to enhance service provision, learn from our shared knowledge and work in collaboration to educate and inform our communities
