The charity is set up to maintain the condition of Bute's Beaches and to assist in educating people about the coastline. We facilitate a self employed contractor to carry out the work and to coordinate volunteer efforts and provide educational information as required. The charity owns a tractor and trailer and pick up truck to remove marine litter from the beaches and convey to local recycling facility. We also have a free beach wheelchair service which allows those with mobility issues to experience our beaches and also participate in volunteer activities. This service is run by volunteers. We organise community beach cleans ,participate in citizen science beach surveys in conjunction with Scottish Island Federation and Marine Conservation Society.
