The Trust publishes books on local history and also has an oral history section with recordings of reminisces of local people with copies held in the local library and the museum where they may be heard by the public. The trust provides bursaries to students who have been accepted to study history at university. History prizes are provided to history students at the local academy. Talks on local history are given at local events where the opportunity is taken to promote the Trust. Books are donated to local schools and the local college in order to advance the knowledge of local history.
