As a Group Training Association, EKGTA was setup to fulfill a requirement of the 1964 Industrial Training Act and was originally setup by the Government of the day. The purpose and core activity of the Charity remains the same as it was at it's Incorporation in 1966. The way we do this has also not changed very much in the now almost 60 years since the Charity was formed, we still serve the Member Companies interests and provide Training and Education to Apprentice Engineers even though the Training programs have evolved and developed in keeping with innovation in the Engineering Industry.
