The 6th Greenock and District Scout Group promotes the advancement of citizenship and community development and the primary beneficiaries are children and young people between the ages of 5 and 25. The Group provides recreational facilities (Scout Hall) in a safe environment by the organisation of activities by the section volunteers and their assistants. The group is continuing to grow in all sections. The Group carries out activities and services for all sections, categorised by age into Beavers, Cubs, Scouts and Explorers. These activities are open to all, regardless of race, religion or ability. Activities comprise recreational trips, games, camps and educational instruction. Increasing the activities on offer has allowed the group to further expand the benefits to the young people of Gourock and surrounding area.
