The purposes of St Mary the Virgin Episcopal Church Port Glasgow are to advance religion and provide public benefit by glorifying God through worship and service and by contributing to the advancement of the local community. The Charge offers public worship according to the rites of the Scottish Episcopal Church, co-operates with other church leaders in the local community to witness to the Christian faith, and supports the local community, including leasing out meeting rooms, organising clubs to meet local needs.
