To establish, preserve and maintain for the public benefit a medical museum within heritage settings at Wrightington Hospital. Provide education on the subject of advances relating to the musculoskletal related treatments, science, research and development with reference to the evaluation of surgical procedures, particularly Charnley related techniques originated at Wrightington Hospital.
