Taken from the Deed:- The Objects for which the Company is established are; (A) to protect, conserve, rehabilitate and improve the rivers, streams, watercourses, water impoundments together with the related banksides with respect to the River Irwell (Lancashire) its tributaries and the Irwell Valley (the river catchment area of the River Irwell(Lancashire)) for the benefit of the public.
